Program Highlights
The AAMEP gave me a once-in-a-lifetime experience of visiting so many places (unlike usual travel) to gain various cultural and religious perspectives and forging many new connections that will definitely shape my worldview as I navigate through life, moving forward. Thank you!!! :)
The meetings with the Women-led Muslim organizations in Melbourne and Sydney were eye-opening and stirred something in my heart regarding the directions I can head to improve, both on the personal and professional front.
Islam in Australia is an interesting mix of different groups trying to ensure that Islam is accepted well by everyone within the country. It is beautiful seeing how open people are to differing scholarly opinions and yet are able to work harmoniously in spreading Islam peacefully through real-life modeling. Amazing experience, AllahuAkbar!
Personally, the AAMEP has opened windows of opportunity for me to meet many like-minded and like-hearted individuals, those who have inspired me to do better, and those who I would love to collaborate with, insyaAllah!
