Program Highlights

The AAMEP experience as a whole is unforgettable. I am grateful that I was given a chance to become part of this family and meet amazing individuals from Australia and ASEAN countries. However, the AAMEP Alumni Reunion has a special place in my heart, and I will always remember it since it was our first time meeting each other after weeks of Zoom sessions. During our visit, we had the opportunity to engage with each other and have a dialogue. We were also given a chance to know more about our fellow alumni and were able to share stories from our respective countries. Discovered surprising similarities about how Islam is being practiced in their country and also provided a platform for meaningful cross-cultural exchange and mutual learning. I always remember this experience as a powerful example of how common interests and shared challenges can bridge cultural divides and foster connections between people from different backgrounds.

The Australia-ASEAN Muslim Exchange Program made a significant impact on my life. I am thankful that since I joined AAMEP, I have developed and discovered new skills, built networks across Australia and ASEAN, and established relationships.
