Program Highlights
The most significant aspect of my experience in the AAMEP was the opportunity to network and engage with young leaders from ASEAN and Australia. It was truly inspiring to learn about the remarkable contributions and initiatives undertaken by the youth in both regions.
Another key highlight for me was gaining insight into how Islam is practiced in Australia. Despite being a minority, the Muslim community has successfully preserved its values and religious identity—an aspect that could serve as a valuable case study for Muslim-majority nations such as Brunei Darussalam.
Visiting the Islamic centres in Melbourne and Sydney was particularly meaningful to me. I deeply cherish the experience, as it allowed me to engage in discussions with the Imams and gain a deeper understanding of how they manage and organize activities within their communities.”
