Program Highlights

I was very happy to join the AAMEP. I met new friends from both ASEAN and Australia. We had the chance to discuss many topics that let us know more about the situation in our regions. I always remember the sessions we had with Australian Muslims the session that visited the Islamic School in Australia online. I would like to visit that school if I have the chance to visit Australia, to discuss the possibility of teachers and students exchanges, and also how to improve the quality of education in the modern world.

This program changed my perception on Australian Islam. Before attending the program, I thought Muslims in Australia were not made to feel welcome because of the news about the Christchurch Mosque. The AAMEP allowed us to know Muslims in Australia have the same basic rights as other nationalities, and it also created empathy between people from different countries. As a result Australia is my intended destination to visit and let our young generation to collaborate with, insha allah.

After the program, I decided to gain a PhD on Educational Innovation and my research is on the case of Muslim schools in Australia.
